Join Allied Universal as a Residential Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, assist residents and guests, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure community environment. In this people-first role, you will combine strong communication, customer service, and attention to detail with a team-oriented, reliable, and integrity-driven approach to daily security-related responsibilities.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
A guard card or license is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, authorize visitor access, and maintain visitor logs and related records in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Support access control operations by observing cameras and alarms, reporting maintenance or security-related issues, and documenting daily activities, incidents, and/or policy violations.
