Join Allied Universal as a Residential Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, assist residents and guests, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure community environment. In this people-first role, you will combine strong communication, customer service, and attention to detail with a team-oriented, reliable, and integrity-driven approach to daily security-related responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, authorize visitor access, and maintain visitor logs and related records in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Support access control operations by observing cameras and alarms, reporting maintenance or security-related issues, and documenting daily activities, incidents, and/or policy violations.
