As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist residents and guests with professionalism, and deliver strong communication and customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points, observe visitor and resident activity, and assist with checking for unauthorized persons, property-related issues, and/or unusual conditions at the location.
Support residential community operations by assisting with routine security-related checks, following post orders, and communicating professionally with residents, guests, and on-site personnel.
