About The Position

As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol Driver in La Jolla, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help manage entry points, verify visitors and credentials, monitor activity, and provide welcoming customer service to residents and guests. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate concerns professionally. This driving position supports Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, maintain visitor records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate property representatives.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control-related observations according to site-specific procedures.
