As a Security Officer Refinery Full Time in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will help maintain a secure environment through a visible presence and timely reporting of security-related concerns. This is a driving position. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, issuing access credentials as authorized, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions, restricted-area concerns, and maintenance issues according to site procedures.
Support site access requirements by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, following screening procedures, and helping to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
