As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while delivering standout customer service. You will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, working as one team with integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, managing visitor and vendor entry, and maintaining required logs and documentation.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and communication systems, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with site contacts and local responders as directed.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident documentation, and other required records, and communicate observations and updates to supervisors and oncoming personnel.
