About The Position

As a Security Officer - Refinery Patrol Driver in West Bountiful, UT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a petrochemical location as an unarmed, driving patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong customer service and clear communication. You will conduct routine vehicle patrols, document observations, and respond to needs as they arise, bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset while acting with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of process areas, administrative areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor gates and access points by verifying identification and/or authorization, directing traffic, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, maintain logs, and communicate observations and unusual conditions to supervision and/or site representatives.
