Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting patients, visitors, and staff, managing front desk access procedures, and following site-specific security-related policies for a healthcare location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and visitor credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive front desk presence.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Document visitor activity, unusual events, and security-related concerns, and complete required reports with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Support a professional atmosphere at the front desk by answering questions, providing directions, and assisting with security-related procedures for patients, guests, and employees.
