Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, screening and directing visitors, and supporting security-related access activities for an education location.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity, verify identification and/or visitor records as required, and help to deter unauthorized access in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Maintain detailed front desk logs, visitor information, and incident documentation, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Support staff, students, and visitors with directions and general assistance while observing conditions at the front entry and reporting unusual activity according to post procedures.
