Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor screening, badge access support, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor the lobby and reception area, greet patients, staff, and visitors, verify identification and/or appointments, and help direct foot traffic in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff, visitors, and first responders as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of front desk activity, document security-related events and/or unusual activity, and report concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support access control functions for a healthcare location by helping to deter unauthorized entry, monitoring entrances, and following visitor management protocols.
