Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and visitor management protocols at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue temporary badges or passes as needed, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries in required logs and systems.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support site personnel during emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing activity at gates, lobbies, screening areas, and other controlled points, and reporting suspicious or unusual behavior through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including perimeter access points and restricted locations, to support security-related procedures and site policies.
