About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception / Patrol in Mira Loma, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily site activity with strong customer service and communication. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while contributing to a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, vendors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening access at entry and exit points, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access control points for a logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and vehicle activity, and helping to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including exterior areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter access points, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Support receiving and shipping area operations by observing inbound and outbound traffic, maintaining accurate logs, and communicating clearly with site contacts, drivers, and/or delivery personnel regarding access procedures.
