As a Security Officer Reception Desk in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk professional at a dynamic corporate location, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, support security-related procedures, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this primarily stationary role, you will help create a professional first impression while supporting daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk, following site-specific policies and supporting security-related procedures for access and visitor management.
  • Monitor lobby activity, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, issue access badges, and help to deter unauthorized entry in accordance with location protocols.
  • Answer phones, manage inquiries, maintain front desk logs and incident documentation, and communicate with site contacts regarding arrivals, deliveries, and security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating appropriate emergency response activities and/or notifications when needed.
  • Observe cameras and front desk systems, report unusual activity, and support a professional lobby presence throughout the shift.
