About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Coordinator in Santa Monica, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity from a stationary post, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy front desk location.
  • Monitor access to the location by greeting guests, reviewing identification and/or visitor records, issuing access credentials, and communicating entry procedures in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Support front desk operations by answering questions, directing visitors, maintaining accurate logs, and documenting security-related activities and unusual events.
  • Assist with screening incoming deliveries, coordinating visitor arrivals, and helping to deter unauthorized access through consistent application of site protocols.
