As a Security Officer Reception Access in Wharton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related operations through visitor management, access control, badge monitoring, and professional front-line customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys communication, teamwork, and technology while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and caring culture with integrity every day.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response support appropriate for a front desk location.
  • Monitor visitor, vendor, and delivery activity at the front desk, verify credentials and/or documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Answer phones, greet employees and guests, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding arrivals, departures, incidents, and other security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting relevant details.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and front desk records related to access, incidents, and other security-related activity in a logistics and distribution environment.
