About The Position

As a Security Officer - Property Access in WEST COLUMBIA, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Officer at an automotive location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring entry activity, and responding to security-related concerns. Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees at an automotive location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and driver entry records, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic in accordance with site procedures, reporting irregularities or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, vehicle storage areas, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
