Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and public emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic patterns while following post orders and documenting security-related incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Assist with access control duties, verify credentials when required, and provide directions or support to the public and authorized personnel in accordance with location policies.
