Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a utilities location, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will contribute to a caring team that values being agile, reliable, and innovative, while acting with integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, site contacts, and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report suspicious behavior, restricted area access attempts, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
  • Complete routine logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and support emergency response activities during weather events, utility disruptions, and/or other site-related incidents.
