As a Security Officer Premises Patrol in Hartford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, operational concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify entry permissions for visitors and/or deliveries, and report suspicious behavior, damaged equipment, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
• Support order and continuity of operations by observing facility activity, following post instructions, and assisting with security-related responses to alarms, disturbances, and/or medical incidents.
