About The Position

As a Security Officer - Plant Access in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies in a manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and maintain required entry, exit, and incident documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Observe and report hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and other security-related issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
