As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol Associate in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a shelter location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents, guests, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant activity according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, observe unusual conditions, and/or report concerns to site contacts.
• Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor and resident traffic, and/or help to maintain order through professional presence and clear communication.
• Support staff and residents by reporting maintenance issues, disturbances, and/or policy-related concerns, and follow post orders for escalating incidents when needed.
