As a Security Officer Perimeter Observation in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Guard card is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, attendees, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout public areas, meeting spaces, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, with working conditions that may vary by location and event activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting unusual conditions, policy concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post instructions and escalation protocols.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, and security-related observations.
