As a Security Officer Perimeter Observation in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, manage access control, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, delivery areas, and/or electronic security-related systems to help deter unauthorized entry and support site operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns, incidents, and shift activity.
