About The Position

Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.

Position:
Our Security Officers provide a safe and secure environment for the patients, visitors, staff and property of Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital. We are looking for staff with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with diverse populations and able to handle demanding and stressful situations. This position requires officers be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and participate in de-escalation with the guidance of clinical staff.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent
• Heart Saver or Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required to start
• One year security experience working in healthcare setting preferred.
• Mental Health Tech or other behavioral health experience will be considered in lieu of security experience.
