About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer Patrol for a data center in Portland, Oregon. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a critical infrastructure location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, conduct routine rounds, support access control and badge processes, report security-related concerns, and provide customer service and clear communication. The role follows site-specific policies and post orders and may involve emergency response activities. The posted pay rate is $23.25 per hour, with scheduled shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to midnight.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and support site access procedures in accordance with post orders.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
