About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Research Triangle Park, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring a caring, reliable, and agile approach while working with integrity and teamwork to support daily operations.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within an industrial chemical processing location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, access points, warehouses, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations, with attention to changing conditions across the site.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, contractors, and visitors, helping to support authorized access and reporting unusual or unauthorized activity.
  • Support hazard awareness by observing for spills, leaks, equipment issues, and/or other unusual conditions and promptly communicating findings to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
