About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, report observations, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and merchants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within the retail location, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence and positive interactions with the public.
