Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and other security-related duties appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or designated site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas by verifying credentials, directing visitor traffic, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
  • Support emergency response activities by following site protocols, assisting with orderly movement during urgent situations, and coordinating with first responders and/or facility personnel when appropriate.
