Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, commuters, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, boarding areas, waiting areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
  • Monitor public areas and restricted spaces for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or maintenance concerns, and document security-related incidents through detailed written reports.
  • Support emergency response activities by assisting with crowd management, directing foot traffic, and communicating clearly with the public and/or site personnel during service disruptions or urgent events.
