Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at a government human services location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain required logs and incident documentation.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
Communicate professionally with government personnel, clients, and the public while supporting a respectful and orderly environment.
