About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vendor authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required security-related documentation while communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
