Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including lobbies, hallways, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
• Support access control activities by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying authorized access when required, and assisting with visitor direction and general site information.
• Assist with de-escalation during tense interactions, help to deter unauthorized activity, and report maintenance, environmental, and/or security-related concerns observed during the shift.
