About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Malone, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will contribute to daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while putting people first in every interaction.

Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A minimum of 6 or more months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government facility.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, access, and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify credentials when required, and support orderly entry, exit, and visitor processing in accordance with location protocols.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of patrols, incidents, and/or daily activities, and relay important information to supervisors, coworkers, and/or designated site personnel.
