About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Goleta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information as required, and support compliance with location protocols common to an aero and defense environment.
  • Communicate with site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance issues, and/or operational concerns that may impact daily post responsibilities.
