About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Watch in North East, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrance areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, high-traffic areas, and/or merchandise areas to help support loss prevention efforts and report suspicious behavior, disturbances, and/or hazards.
• Assist staff and visitors with directions, general information, and/or support during alarms, evacuations, medical events, and other security-related situations.
