As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Watch in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests and staff. This role blends customer-focused service, strong communication, and teamwork with a caring, reliable, and integrity-driven approach to daily responsibilities.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observed activity according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, sales floors, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and communicate relevant information to management and/or emergency personnel when needed.
• Support access control and visitor-related procedures, assist with directional questions, and report maintenance or operational concerns observed during patrols.
