About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Bridgeport, Connecticut, you will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and other stakeholders while helping maintain a welcoming environment. Allied Universal offers access to its Claim a Shift platform, allowing officers to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior workspaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures; report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following established emergency response activities and notification protocols.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs documenting patrol findings, incidents, and security-related observations.
