As a Security Officer Patrol Vehicle Driver in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aerospace and defense location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a controlled aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site expectations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site procedures, and report concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control, emergency communication, and other security-related duties as assigned, while maintaining professionalism in a dynamic industrial environment.
