As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to residents and visitors while using computer or tablet systems as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; document and report unusual activity, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or site management when appropriate.
  • Prepare clear and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-down information in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
