As a Security Officer Patrol Systems Technician in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer in a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry points, observe visitor and delivery activity, and report maintenance issues, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions according to site procedures.
  • Support a professional residential atmosphere by assisting with directions, answering questions, and documenting daily activities, incidents, and/or noteworthy observations.
