As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support daily operations through routine patrols, strong attention to detail, and teamwork, while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of being agile, reliable, innovative, and acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution location, including lobbies, offices, parking areas, and perimeter access points, observing and reporting unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, visitor activity, and/or restricted areas to help support authorized access practices and report concerns in accordance with post instructions.
  • Assist with routine reporting, incident documentation, and/or communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives regarding security-related matters.
