Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, hazard, and/or security-related issues.
• Monitor assigned areas for unusual activity, assist with directions and general inquiries, and communicate with property management and/or first responders when needed.
• Support daily operations by completing incident reports, maintaining post records, and following Allied Universal standards as well as client-specific instructions.
