Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Wichita, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and sharing observations with site leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter zones, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, disruptive behavior, theft-related activity, and/or policy violations within the retail environment.
• Support crowd management and closing procedures by providing a visible presence, giving directions, and assisting with customer and staff concerns in a professional manner.
