About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Gilroy, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance issues according to site guidelines.
• Support loss prevention awareness by maintaining a visible presence and reporting theft-related concerns, trespassing, and/or unauthorized activity to the appropriate personnel.
