As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Spokane, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a government transit location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting supervisors, law enforcement, and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, public areas, and restricted spaces for policy compliance, assist with directing foot traffic, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity through proper channels.
  • Complete routine logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and Allied Universal personnel.
