About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Screening Specialist in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support visitors with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe and document security-related concerns, and communicate with site contacts, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Support daily operations by following post orders, maintaining a visible presence, and completing required logs, reports, and/or other documentation accurately and on time.
