About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Screening Specialist in NEWARK, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, dock doors, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and/or deliveries entering and leaving the location, following site protocols for screening, visitor handling, and incident reporting.
Support day-to-day operations by communicating clearly with drivers, visitors, and site personnel regarding post orders, restricted areas, and/or observed issues requiring follow-up.
