Requirements

  • 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, urgent situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, while communicating with staff and public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, note unusual conditions, and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and other assigned locations to help manage access, provide directions, and support an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports, and share relevant information with Allied Universal leadership and/or designated site contacts.
