As a Security Officer Patrol Rover in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and support access activities while providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and documenting observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, operational areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify entry and exit activity in accordance with site rules, while reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support daily operations by completing required reports, maintaining awareness of changing site conditions, and communicating clearly with Allied Universal leadership and/or site personnel.
