About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Route Driver in Ocala, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting information through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking lots, entry points, trailer yards, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and deliveries entering and leaving the location, following post orders and verifying credentials, shipping information, and/or visitor access as required.
  • Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, assisting with traffic flow around docks and gate areas, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or property concerns that could impact the location.
