Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor activity, conduct routine foot and driving patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support shoppers, tenants, and guests with outstanding customer service, clear communication, and a people-first approach grounded in teamwork, reliability, agility, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities appropriate for a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support security-related policies.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help address unauthorized activity, assist with crowd and line management, and provide information or directions to the public.
  • Support daily operations by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
